About Our Company

Suncycle Technologies, Inc. was founded in 2000 by a Laboratory Professional and an Engineer, who together recognized that an opportunity existed to combine their respective areas of expertise to the benefit of the clinical laboratory. They envisioned developing products that would not only meet a hereto-undressed need, but would simultaneously realize a cost savings for their clients. The founders have a combined 39 years of professional experience un the respective fields of knowledge.

As President, Donna Shelk (BSCT Northern Illinois University / University of Chicago Medical Center, MHA St. Francis University) brings to the company twenty years of experience in the medical laboratory field, including clinical, technical and managerial positions. She has had extensive involvement in the development, evaluation and implementation of new technologies. Donna was one of the pioneers in implementing thin layer liquid based cytology.

As Vice-President of Operations and Engineering, Ronald Shelk (BSME Illinois Institute of Technology) brings to the company his expertise in design, development and manufacture of new products. His extensive experience includes nineteen years of developing products, manufacturing processes and quality systems for the automotive, aerospace, medical device and critical filtration industries.

Suncycle Technologies, Inc. specializes in the development, manufacture and distribution of products that lessen the generating of chemical waste in medical laboratories. Most notably, systems for recycling of reagents by means of gravity flow through specially designed filter cartridges. Our products are designed to be safe, simple, reliable, and provide a real cost savings to the laboratory.

Suncycle Technologies, Inc. is located in the Arrowhead Industrial Park in Plainfield, Illinois. Plainfield is a far southwest suburb of Chicago, approximately 35 miles from downtown, with easy access to several interstate highways (I-55, I-80, and I-88) and both metropolitan airports (O'Hare and Midway).

It is the mission of Suncycle Technologies, Inc. to design, manufacture and distribute innovative products to reduce costs for our customers while simultaneously lessening environmental exposure to potentially harmful waste. As a product / service leader we will strive to do this in an efficient and reliable manner, as we provide technical support to out clients.
